PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enjoy enough pleasure of singing by playing a musical piece at a suitable tempo level according to the age of a singing person. SOLUTION: This karaoke system includes: a user ID acquiring means (an ID reading means 37) for acquiring a user ID when a user logs in a system; a user information acquiring means 44 for acquiring age data stored in a user information storage means (a customer database of a host device 11) based on the user ID acquired by the user ID acquiring means; and a tempo level setting means 53 for changing and setting a tempo level corresponding to the age data acquired by the user information acquiring means 44 as a tempo level of the user concerned based on an age corresponding tempo level setting table 25b formed by connecting the age of the user with the tempo level.
