PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module of a simple structure capable of being easily handled by a general user by solving a problem such as cleaning of a connector end face and eye safe without needing exchange of the whole optical module even when being desired to modify the length of an optical cable. SOLUTION: The optical module 11 has an optical cable 12 and optical active connectors 13, 14 provided on both its ends, and is used for performing data transfer between devices A, B. Active connectors 13, 14 have first electric connectors 17, 21 for connecting the devices A, B, electric parts 15, 19, optical parts 16, 20 and second electric connectors 18, 22 for connecting the electric parts 15, 19 and the optical parts 16, 20, respectively.
