PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a rack for test tubes capable of performing automatically preparation of the test tubes for the rack, and supply/discharge of the rack. SOLUTION: In this control device of the rack for test tubes, a rack body is fixed on a placing table, and the placing table is moved and controlled in the X-axis direction and in the Y-axis direction, and thereby each holding hole of the rack body can be positioned on each input position of the test tubes. On the other hand, each test tube with a label stuck thereon having specific information of a patient printed thereon is prepared one by one by a widely-used test tube preparation device, and supplied to the input position of the rack body. Input of the test tube into the rack body is performed with position control by moving the placing table in the X-axis direction and in the Y-axis direction, and thereby at every changing time of a patient, each row of test tube holding holes of the rack body is changed, or a test tube for the next patient is prepared by providing a vacant test tube holding hole, or the rack body is changed every hospital ward, to thereby enable discrimination of the test tube.
