A camouflage system and methods of making a composite camouflage pattern. The camouflage system comprising more than one design layer, wherein the one or more design layers may be a different monochromatic color or the same monochromatic color of another design layer. At least one of the design layers may include fading of a monochromatic color and the one or more design layers may be combined to produce a composite camouflage pattern.
