<p>Disclosed is a method for producing a high-performance polyfunctional compound which can be used as an optical recording material, a material for an optical waveguide, a material for a photo-alignment film or the like, in a simple manner. The method comprises conducting the Michael addition of a compound (A) which has a hydrogen atom having a pKa value smaller than or equal to 15 to a (meth)acrylate ester or a (meth)acrylate amide (B) to produce the polyfunctional compound, wherein at least one of the compounds (A) and (B) has a photoisomerizing group and/or a liquid crystalline group.</p> |
