A system and a method for displaying emphasis of menu in mobile communication terminal are provided to stress the desired specific menu item by using the vector font in the terminal menu. A vector font engine(12) performs the graphic process of the vector mode for displaying the specific menu item designated according to the usage frequency among the terminal menu displayed on the display(20) in the form of the vector font. The microprocessor(18) watches the active condition of menu item of each menu group by the key input of the key input unit(10) under the execution of the menu control program(14). The menu item in which the usage frequency is the greatest is stressed in the form of the vector font by the vector graphics processing of the vector font engine. The display displays the operation status of the terminal menu by the key input unit on screen. The emphasis situation through the vector font of the menu item in which the usage frequency is high is indicated.
