A LED lighting unit and streetlight using led lighting unit is provided to improve luminous efficiency and lifetime of LED by radiating heat effectively. In an LED lighting unit and streetlight, an LED module has a plurality of LEDs(22) is integrated on the printed circuit board(21). The LED module transmits heat to each side of the LED through a cooling fin(10). The heat pipe is connected to the cooling fin(30), and a condensing lens(40) fixed to the cooling fin to cover each LED module.
