<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a processing technique for carrying out compacting and sintering of a powder material composed of metal, ceramics, etc., or simultaneously carrying out sintering and joining of the powder material. <P>SOLUTION: A solid body 2 having a speed-controlled high-speed movement of ≥1 mm relative displacement is brought into pressurized contact with a powder material 1 at a first pressure and frictional heat is generated to heat the powder material to the prescribed temperature.
