A method for automatically connecting mobile terminal and wireless headset with bluetooth mode is provided to reduce unnecessary current consumption during latency time by supplying a power source to a wireless headset when the wireless headset is coupled. A mobile terminal has a wireless headset, and senses attaching/detaching of the wireless headset by a sensor(505). When the wireless headset is detached, a bluetooth mode is turned on, and a message for calling the wireless headset is transmitted(515, 520). When a response message is received from the wireless headset, communication link for transmitting/receiving data is formed(530). When connection of the wireless headset and the mobile terminal is sensed(535), the bluetooth mode of the mobile terminal is automatically turned off(560). |
