摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel concentration measuring apparatus and a fuel concentration measuring method for accurately and rapidly measuring a fuel concentration. <P>SOLUTION: A sound speed of a sound wave traveling in a fuel and a dielectric constant of the fuel are measured. An alcohol concentration in the fuel is calculated based on the sound speed and the dielectric constant. A precise fuel concentration which is found from a relationship between the sound speed and the fuel concentration and possibly has two calculated results, and a fuel concentration which is found from a relationship between the dielectric constant and the fuel concentration and has a single calculated result, are compared by measuring the sound speed of the sound wave traveling in the fuel and the dielectric constant of the fuel.
