<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of printed images by properly making an inkjet printing ink impinge on a nozzle plate without misregistration in forming the printed images by jetting through a nozzle the ink containing a water-soluble substance subject to polycodensation reaction in a water-free condition (e.g. a hydrolysable silane compound). <P>SOLUTION: The quality of printed images formed by the ink is improved by the following practice. The water-soluble substance is incorporated with fluoroalkyl group(s), or a water-repellent film 9a on the nozzle plate 9 is subjected to surface treatment with a trialkylsilane compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
