A recording quality control method is provided to enable a television providing a recording function to analyze a recording available capacity of a storage medium and control recording quality for a broadcasting program according to the analysis result. It is determined whether a recording function is set or not. If so, a broadcast amount of a broadcasting program and a recording available capacity of a data storage(50) are analyzed. Thereby, recording quality of the broadcasting program is determined. The broadcasting program is recorded in the data storage according to the recording quality.
