Cutting device for work pieces

The tool (1) is provided with several cutting edges and is activated by an electric drive in order to rotate around a central axle. A suction hood (2) is positioned around the tool (1), leaving a gap (2) for the cutting edge. The shavings removed from the work-piece (3) during the machining process are guided into a first collection area (4) provided with specifically shaped inner surfaces deflecting the shavings towards the outlet located at a base. A thorough removal of the remaining shavings is performed in a second collection area.
