A method for reformatting contents and recalculating the number of pages of an electronic book in case of a font size change, and an apparatus applied to the same are provided to display pages that a user wants to read on a terminal screen without performing processes of reformatting contents or recalculating the page number whenever the user changes the setting about a text of the electronic book. An electronic book viewer terminal apparatus sets change of a text comprising an electronic book(S104). Page break information corresponding to a change of the text is distinguished from at least one page break information embedded in meta data in a container file comprising the electronic book(S106). Reformatting result data including the page break information and recalculating data of a page number are extracted(S108). An output screen of the electronic book reformed based on the reformatting result data and the recalculating data of the page number is displayed on a terminal screen(S112). |
