SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING PHONE CALL BASED ON SET-TOP BOX

A system for connecting phone call based on set-top box solving the inconvenience is provided to obtain the telephone number of the other party by using set-top box during watching TV and to call the telephone with the obtained telephone number. A set-top box(100) comprises a counter phone number acquisition unit(120), a subscriber telephone number acquisition unit(130), a dial linking command generator(140) and a telephone server interface(150). The counter phone number acquisition unit obtains the counter phone number. The subscriber telephone number acquisition unit obtains the subscriber telephone number. The dial linking command generator generates the dial linking command based on the counter phone number and the subscriber telephone number. The telephone server interface transmits the dial linking command generated in the dial linking command generator with the telephone interface server(200). The telephone interface server comprises a set-top box interface(210) and a dial linking controller(220). The set-top box interface receives the dial linking command transmitted in the set-top box. The dial linking controller arranges the dial linking between the counter phone number and the subscriber telephone number based on the received dial linking command.
