A recording medium recording/reproducing method and apparatus are provided to improve signal to noise ratio of the record/reproduction signal by generating one or more control signal using the received signal. A recording medium recording/reproducing method comprises the steps of: projecting beam to a recording medium(S10); dividing the reflected or diffracted signal from the recording medium according to the domain of signal through a diffraction grating(S20); receiving the segmented signal through a multi-divisional light receiving unit(S30); and producing one or more control signal by using the received signal(S80).
