The present invention provides a knitted fabric bandage. The fabric contains an amount of antibacterial/antimicrobial agent of from about 0.175 to about 0.6 grams per kilogram weight of the fabric (0.0 175% to 0.06% by weight). The bandage contains preferably 0.4 to 1.6 mg/m2. The fabric may be wetted by steaming and the antibacterial/microbial may be sprayed onto the wetted fabric. |
