An LED(Light Emitting Diode) lighting apparatus for connecting a socket of a fluorescent lamp is provided to maximize compatibility by mounting a conventional LED module to the socket of the fluorescent lamp through a connection cap. A stabilizer(600) stabilizes the frequency of a current applied from a power source. A power module converts an AC(Alternating Current) power into a DC(Direct Current) power. An LED module(100) is driven by the DC power supplied from a power conversion module. The power module includes a first over-voltage protecting unit, a first bridge rectifying unit, a smoothing unit, a DC-DC converting unit, a second over-voltage protecting unit and a second bridge rectifying unit. The first over-voltage protecting unit(10) is connected to a first output terminal of the stabilizer. The first bridge rectifying unit(20) is connected to the backend of the first over-voltage protecting unit. The smoothing unit(40) removes the ripple of a DC power which has been rectified by the first bridge rectifying unit. The DC-DC converting unit(50) converts the DC power, which has passed through the smoothing unit, into an appropriate voltage for driving the LED module. The second over-voltage protecting unit(11) is connected to a second output terminal of the stabilizer. A positive terminal of the second bridge rectifying unit(21) is connected to a positive terminal of the first bridge rectifying unit. A negative terminal of the second bridge rectifying unit is connected to a negative terminal of the first bridge rectifying unit. |
