An apparatus and a method for improving speech articulation are provided to increase speech articulation cues with a small number of calculations and produce the minimum amount of results processed in an output audio while the speech articulation increases, thereby maintaining the speech articulation properly. A method for improving speech articulation comprises the following steps of: detecting the amplitude level of an input audio signal envelope and the amplitude level of an output audio signal envelope respectively; calculating a difference value between the amplitude level of the calculated input audio signal envelope and the amplitude level of the calculated output audio signal envelope(S200); calculating a cut-off frequency based on the difference value; and filtering and outputting the input audio signal while adjusting a filtering domain according to the cut-off frequency, wherein noise in the filtering process is removed(S220,S230). |
