APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING HARMONIC WAVE AUTOMATICALLY

An automatic harmonic control apparatus is provided to remove or reduce the residual harmonic component by corresponding to the residual harmonic and controlling the capacitor bank. An automatic harmonic control apparatus(200) comprises a zigzag reactor(201), a serial reactor(203), a capacitor bank(205), an electricity state detector and a harmonic controller. The zigzag reactor is serially connected to the load. The zigzag reactor offsets the harmonic component. The serial reactor is connected to one end of the zigzag reactor. The serial reactor is connected to the load in parallel. The capacitor bank is connected to the serial reactor. The electricity state detector senses the power state of the electric power source system and outputs the detection signal. The harmonic controller determines the presence of the harmonic component based on the detection signal of the electricity state detection part. If the harmonic component exists, the harmonic controller switches ON/OFF the capacitor bank.
