A system for the bi-directional transmission of optical/acoustical signals from a viewer to a TV channel or from a viewer to another viewer comprises a device decoding digital television signals, which is connected to a digital camera and a microphone, allowing the user to send optical/acoustical signal live from his house. The basic use of this system is intended for TV broadcasts involving the participation of the audience, allowing the user to present himself ôliveö on the air. The same device can be used for the direct calling between viewers. It consists of a digital decoder with an incorporated software for the operation of the digital camera and the microphone, which will code and send the optical/acoustical signal to a selected direction. The microphone is incorporated on the remote control. The novelty consists in the upgrading of the TV to being truly bi-directional, since anyone can communicate live with the broadcast he watches or with another viewer, transmitting image and sound from his house. |
