A worktable for exchanging a backup roll in a rolling mill is provided to keep a sufficient interval between a work roll and a backup roll in order to exchange the backup roll easily and prevent a supporting unit from being separated. A worktable(100) for exchanging a backup roll in a rolling mill comprises the following units. A pair of vertical columns(110) are installed to settle on a backup choke(230) of a bottom backup roll(210). A connecting bar(120) fixes the vertical columns. An inserting groove(112) is formed on a bottom of the vertical column so as to be inserted into a top of an interval maintaining unit which maintains an interval with the backup roll choke of the bottom backup roll.
