A gas treatment apparatus is provided to successively purify gas without stopping the apparatus by using two cartridges and two regeneration liquid-circulating pumps, thereby continuously operating the other cartridge although the operation of one cartridge is stopped. A gas treatment apparatus comprises a cartridge assembly(10), a regeneration liquid tank(30), a regeneration liquid supply pipe(21), a regeneration liquid recovery pipe(22), and a regeneration liquid-circulating pump(41). The cartridge assembly includes a gas treatment cartridge(11), a gas inlet(12), and a gas outlet(13). In the cartridge assembly, a regeneration liquid cleaning a gas treatment cartridge flows into a top part of the gas treatment cartridge in the form of a laminar flow and discharges from a bottom part of the gas treatment cartridge. The regeneration liquid tank is installed on a bottom part of the cartridge assembly, has a cross-sectional area larger than that of the cartridge assembly, and contains a regeneration liquid recovered from the cartridge assembly after the regeneration liquid is supplied to the cartridge assembly. The regeneration liquid supply pipe is installed on a top part of the cartridge assembly and the regeneration liquid tank to supply the regeneration liquid from the regeneration liquid tank to the cartridge assembly. The regeneration liquid recovery pipe is installed between a bottom part of the cartridge assembly and the regeneration liquid tank to recover the regeneration liquid passing through the cartridge assembly into the regeneration liquid tank. The regeneration liquid-circulating pump is installed within the regeneration liquid tank to supply the regeneration liquid to the cartridge assembly through the regeneration liquid supply pipe.
