METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING UPLINK CONTROL CHANNELS IN CELLULAR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

A method for transmitting/receiving uplink control channel in cellular wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to minimize interfere between channels by additionally multiplexing ACK/NACK(Acknowledgement/Negative Acknowledgement) channel by time domain orthogonal cover. A method for transmitting/receiving uplink control channel in cellular wireless communication system comprises the following steps: a step for obtaining composition information of a predetermined ACK/NACK channel(1100); a step for obtaining index of a channel transmitting an ACK/NACK symbol in case an ACK/NACK transmitting is required in present sub frame(1102); a step for selecting cyclic shift values of orthogonal cover sequence index and ZC(Zadoff-Chu) sequence applied in a first slot and a second slot of the sub frame according to the ACK/NACK channel composition information and the ACK/NACK channel index information(1103); and a step for transmitting the ACK/NACK symbol(1104).
