摘要 |
A blue light-emitting phosphor is provided to ensure high initial luminescent brightness as compared with conventional CMS:Eu2+ blue light-emitting phosphor and to realize the luminance of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp stable for a long time in high level. A blue light-emitting phosphor is obtained by coating 100 parts by mass of blue emitting phosphor particles(1) indicated as CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+, with a film(2) consisting of 4~18 parts by mass of aluminium-containing oxides. A method for manufacturing the blue light-emitting phosphor comprises a step for manufacturing the blue light-emitting phosphor particle slurry by dispersing blue light-emitting phosphor particles indicated as CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+ in the solution dissolved with an aluminium-containing compound producing aluminium-containing oxides by heating, in a polar solvent; a step for obtaining the blue light-emitting phosphor particles coated with the aluminium-containing compound on the surface by evaporating the polar solvent from the slurry; and a step for heating the coated blue light-emitting phosphor particles.
