#CMT# #/CMT# A ring traveler (10) for ring spinning or ring twisting frames, which has a core (20) of an iron material and has a surface coating (24) having a thickness of less than 90 mm located on at least part of the core. The surface coating can comprise one or more layers and comprises oxide, nitride, carbide, boride, ceramic or metal alloys. As a result of the surface coating, the ring traveler has good abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance. Image 0/1.
