<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium such as a ROM medium of high resolution whose signal lack is improved and to provide an optical reproducing device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical recording medium reproduced by an optical system having a wavelength λ and a numerical aperture NA has a substrate 10, a data region 22 comprising a pit formed in one surface of the substrate 10 and shorter than λ/(4×NA) and a space, a super resolution layer 11 provided on the surface in which the pit is formed of the substrate 10 and consisting of a semiconductor or metal, and a second protective layer 13 protecting the super resolution layer 11, and has a space layer 16 between the super resolution layer 11 and the second protective layer 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
