<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp lighting apparatus capable of adjusting a resonance frequency during preheating and starting even if it is provided with a feedback part, and to provide an illumination apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A control means 5 is provided with an adjusting function which adjusts a variation in an output to the discharge lamp La caused by a variation in parts by compensating a duty ratio in a PWM signal for making an operation frequency in an inverter part 2 variable so that a detected value by a second detecting part 54 is within a target range in a microcomputer 50. In addition, the microcomputer 50 switches a transmitting path of the PWM signal to either of a path going through a feedback circuit 52a and a path going through a voltage follower circuit 52b by switches SW1 and SW2 of a switching circuit 52 and uses the path going through the voltage follower path 52b for adjustment in a preheating mode or a starting mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
