<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver for allowing a viewer to easily record a pay program without inhibiting viewing fees from being collected and without needing a viewing contract or the like in advance, and a pay program providing system. <P>SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver for receiving a broadcast signal including video information representing video of pay identification information showing whether or not the video is a pay program, and address information specifying a prescribed communication server each following a prescribed format, has a display part for displaying video, a pay discriminating part for discriminating whether video information is a pay program on the basis of the pay identification information, and a recording part for recording the video information wherein the recording part records address information in addition to the video information when the pay discriminating part discriminates that the video information belongs to the pay program.
