<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a specific object from inside an image with prescribed reliability or better regardless of brightness of the image that is a detection target. <P>SOLUTION: A portion wherein a prescribed object is present inside the image is specified. (a) When a first condition is satisfied (S220), first conversion converting a reference gradation value related to a color of a pixel of first image data into a reference gradation value corresponding to a brighter color to generate second image data (S230). (b) A first portion wherein the object is present inside the image is specified based on the reference gradation value of the color of the pixel of the first image data (S250). (c) When the second image data are generated, a second portion wherein the object is present inside the image is specified based on the reference gradation value of the color of a pixel of the second image data (S240).
