<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding apparatus, and an image forming system, wherein when a sheet bundle is encased with a cover sheet for binding and trim for alignment, even if folded sheets are mixed, they are not cut. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with an image forming means, a sheet folding means to fold the sheets from the image forming means, a stacking means to stack the sheets from the sheet folding means or the image forming means for section arrangement, a cover-sheet binding means to encase the sheet bundle from the stacking means with the cover sheet, a trimming means to trim the edges of the sheet bundle for alignment after cover-sheet binding, and a folding position computation means to set the folding position of the sheets by the sheet folding means. The sheet folding means is provided with a sheet conveyance passage to transfer the folded sheets to elsewhere than the stacking means. The folding position computation means is provided with a first control mode to transfer the sheets folded by the sheet folding means to the stacking means, and a second control mode to transfer them from the sheet conveyance passage to elsewhere than the stacking means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
