<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a raw material for roof tile in which reduction of plasticity is suppressed and formability is enhanced and with which desired shapes of roof tile can be formed even if a large amount of chamotte is incorporated in the raw material; and to provide a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: A mixture is obtained by mixing together chamotte, a plasticity-imparting agent, a binder, and water, and then after adding the mixture to clay for roof tile, the mixture and the clay are further mixed. Thereby, the plasticity-imparting agent and the binder are uniformly stuck on each particle of the chamotte, the binding force between particles of the chamotte and the binding force between particles of the chamotte and the clay for roof tile can be enhanced, and at the same time, the reduction of plasticity is suppressed and the formability can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
