PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door mounting structure which facilitates setting of a sliding door in a casing or the like without using a tool. SOLUTION: According to the sliding door mounting structure, sliders 21 as upper sliding members and wheels 22 as lower sliding members are arranged on an upper edge and a lower edge of the sliding door 2, and an upper rail 15a and a lower rail 16a are engaged with the sliders 21 and the wheels 22, respectively, to thereby mount the sliding door 2. Herein the sliders 21 are made up so as to be alternatively movable between a protruding position in which a sliding portion 21c set on part thereof protrudes from the upper edge of the sliding door 2, and a standby position in which the sliding portion 21c mostly sinks into the sliding door 2, and so as to be held at a moving destination only by moving operation. Thus while the sliders 21 are held at the standby position, the wheels 22 are engaged with the lower rail 16a, and in this state the sliders 21 are changed over to a service position by upward movement thereof, to thereby engage the sliding portions 21c of the sliders 21 with the upper rail 15a.
