PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic wave shield material which is free of faults such as wire breaking, a shape defect, and low contactness due to a transfer defect of catalyst paste in an electromagnetic wave shield material formed by transferring catalyst paste onto a transparent base material and forming a catalyst layer pattern, and in an electromagnetic wave shield material formed by forming a metal layer on the catalyst layer after transfer. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic wave shield material includes: the transparent base material; a primer layer formed on the transparent base material; the catalyst layer containing a material and resin formed on the primer layer in a predetermined pattern and having a catalyst function; and the metal layer formed thereupon. Among the primer layer, the thickness of a section where the catalyst layer is formed is larger than that of a section where the catalyst layer is not formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
