PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel having excellent display quality at a wide viewing angle. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel is provided with an array substrate 1, a counter substrate 2, a plurality of pixel regions R2 having a plurality of divided regions R3 and a liquid crystal layer 3. The liquid crystal layer 3 is in either one alignment state of a first state that a plurality of liquid crystal molecules 3m are aligned in a direction vertical to planes of the array substrate 1 and the counter substrate 2 and a second state that the plurality of liquid crystal molecules are aligned in the same direction for every divided region R3 and aligned in a plurality of directions for every pixel region R2 by existence of applied voltage. A multiplication valueΔnd of a thickness d of the liquid crystal layer 3 and refractive index anisotropyΔn of a liquid crystal material of the liquid crystal layer is 460 nm or more to light having 550 nm wavelength.
