摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate mechanical properties with high accuracy even when the site to evaluate mechanical properties of metal materials is of a minimal area. SOLUTION: An evaluation method of mechanical properties of metal materials to evaluate a mechanical property of ferrite-containing stainless steel comprises a step of determining a phase-analysis ratio of ferrite phase and sigma phase for a site to evaluate the mechanical property by an analysis using an electron backscattering diffraction image process (S5, S6); a step of preparing a corresponding diagram between the phase-analysis ratio of ferrite phase and sigma phase by an analysis using an electron backscattering diffraction image process and the mechanical property with respect to a material having the same components with the stainless steel to evaluate the mechanical property (S1-S4); and a step of estimating and evaluating the mechanical properties of the ferrite-containing stainless steel by way of comparing the corresponding diagram and the phase-analysis ratio obtained in the step of determining a phase-analysis ratio (S7, S8).
