PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of keeping high deodorizing/disinfecting performances. SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprising a box body 101 constituted of an insulating material and forming a storage chamber 102 therein, a door 107 attached openably/closably to an opening portion of the box body 101, an evaporator 120 for cooling the air in the box main body and producing the cold air, and a duct 129a for circulating the cold air between the storage chamber 102 and the evaporator 120, further comprises a disinfecting device 200 having a carrier 201 disposed in the storage chamber 102 and carrying photocatalyst, and an irradiating means 202 for irradiating the carrier with exciting light for exciting the photocatalyst.
