TREATMENT DEVICE OF ELECTRODE MATERIAL FOR ALKALINE STORAGE BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline storage battery excelling in a discharge characteristic by easily removing oxide and hydroxide deposited on the surface of a hydrogen storage alloy in an alkaline treatment process. SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an electrode of this alkaline storage battery includes: a first process of agitating a substance formed into a powder-like form by crushing a hydrogen storage alloy in a high-temperature alkaline aqueous solution; a second process of discharging waste liquid produced in the first process; and a third process of pressing and filtering the hydrogen storage alloy powder to which the second process has been executed. In the second and/or the third process(es), the alkaline aqueous solution is additionally poured before discharging a part or all of the waste liquid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
