PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material with a pink color superior in workability and corrosion resistance, and to provide an ornament. SOLUTION: The composite material comprises a first phase containing Pt as a main component, and a second phase containing Cu, Au and Pd. The ornament includes the composite material at least in one part of itself. As for the composition of Cu, Au and Pd in the second phase, when mass ratios thereof are defined as X mass%, Y mass% and Z mass% respectively and (X+Y+Z=100) are satisfied, the composition is preferably in a range surrounded by five points of (50, 50, 0), (45, 55, 5), (47.5, 37.5, 15), (65, 20, 15) and (60, 40, 0) in an (X, Y, Z) coordinate of the ternary diagram.
