PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor for article transportation for enhancing tight fixation of a conveyor belt for lower surfaces of carrying beams. SOLUTION: A conveyor device for article transportation has an endless conveyor belt 1 that is guided at two ends of a facility by deflection drums. The belt is fastened to the lower surfaces of carrying beams 2 which are oriented transversely with respect to the direction of movement of the conveyor belt and are located at a distance from one another in the direction of movement of the conveyor belt. Running rollers 5, 5a are mounted in each case on the two lateral end parts of the carrying beams. The running rollers roll on two pairs of carrying ropes or carrying rails which are arranged along the forward strand and to the return strand of the conveyor belt. At least in the case of some kind of carrying beams, a sealing band piece 3 consisting of an elastic material is provided between the lower surfaces of the carrying beams and an upper surface of the conveyor belt.
