<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the response time of air fed to an applicator valve from a solenoid-operated type air valve. <P>SOLUTION: A hot-melt adhesive applicator 10 is provided with: an adhesive service block 14 having an adhesive passage, which receives an adhesive from an adhesive source, and an air passage 32; an adhesive applicator valve module 16 which is mounted on the adhesive service block 14; at least one solenoid-operated type air valve 12 which is directly mounted on the adhesive service block 14; and a die block 18.
