PRINTED BOARD IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND IDENTIFICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed board identification method and an identification device capable of individual identification of a printed board by writing manufacturing history information in a current work process to a data carrier attached to a rack by adding information of presence insertion into the rack of the printed board in the current work process to take over to a post work process.

SOLUTION: A data carrier 150 capable of writing and reading of information by noncontact is fixedly attached to a predetermined side surface of a rack 170 mounted with the printed board to write the information for manufacture to a preceding work process in a production line into the data carrier 150, and further read out the information for manufacture to the preceding work process stored in the data carrier 150 sent from the preceding work process. Then the information for manufacture to the preceding work process is written into a data carrier 152 of a rack 172 used during the post work process, and further information of presence of the printed board in the preceding work process is also written to relative position information in the rack 172 used during the post work process where the printed board 120 is inserted.
