<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting living body information at an ear part of a human body. <P>SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer includes a frame part with a first arm and a second arm for clipping a part of the auricle, a pressure-changeable first pressure application part set inside the first arm for applying pressure to a part of the auricle, a pressure-changeable second pressure application part set inside the second arm for applying pressure to a part of the auricle, and a set of a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element for measuring transmittance of light transmitting through a part of the auricle between the first pressure application part and the second pressure application part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
