PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile electronic device including two housings which can be stably held and whose size and thickness can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the mobile electronic device A, a first housing 11 and a second housing 20 that are in the shape of a flat board are linked to each other via a movement mechanism 30 that allows the housings to freely open. At least when the mobile electronic device is closed, a main surface 11a of the first housing 11 and a main surface 20a of the second housing 20 are arranged so as to overlap each other. A pair of first protruding walls 12 are provided, which are formed so as to protrude from a vicinity of a pair of first side surfaces of the first housing 11 being back-to-back manner each other in a direction crossing the main surface 11a of the first housing 11 and which, at least when the mobile electronic device is closed, conceal the whole or a part of each of a pair of second side surfaces 20c and 20d facing each other of the second housing 20.
