PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separately use a rod having a circular section and a sheet metal sub-shaft as sub-shafts fitted in a groove-shaped sliding part formed at one end of the base of an optical pickup, and to simplify the shape of the sub-shaft when the sheet metal sub-shaft is used. SOLUTION: A groove-shaped sliding part 60 formed on the base 40 of an optical pickup is provided with a first groove part 610 having a first sliding surface 61 brought into line-contact with the outer peripheral surface of a sub-shaft 30 which is the rod having the circular section to slide, and a second groove part 620 having a second sliding surface 62 having the flat plate part 35 of a sheet metal sub-shaft 30 fitted therein and brought into contact with the outer surface of the flat plate part 35 to slide. The second groove part 620 is formed of a thin groove part having a groove width roughly equal in size to the thick part size of the flat plate part 35. The groove port 611 of the first groove part 610 is opened at the outer end of the sliding part 60, and the groove port 621 of the second groove part 620 is opened in the space of the first groove part 610.
