PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer and a replenishing developer, capable of suppressing deposition of a carrier on a photosensitive drum, improving dot reproducibility of an electrostatic latent image, suppressing a density reduction at a rear end of a solid image, suppressing a density reduction in an image for long-term use and suppressing scratches on the surface layer of a photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: The two-component developer which contains a magnetic carrier and a toner is characterized in that: the magnetic carrier contains a magnetic component and a resin component; the magnetic component has a bulk densityρ1 (g/cm<SP>3</SP>) ranging from 0.80 g/cm<SP>3</SP>to 2.40 g/cm<SP>3</SP>and a ratioρ1/ρ2 ranging from 0.20 to 0.42, whereinρ2 represents a true density (g/cm<SP>3</SP>); the magnetic component has a specific resistance ranging from 1.0×10<SP>3</SP>Ωcm to 5.0×10<SP>7</SP>Ωcm; and the average circularity of the toner measured by a flow-type particle image measuring device having an image processing resolution of 512×512 pixels (0.37μm×0.37μm per single pixel) ranges from 0.970 to 1.000.
