PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooring material which can reduce treading sound from a tongue-and-groove joint to be turned down by a simple constitution, when the flooring material constituted by applying tongue-and-groove working to a joint end surface of a wooden flooring material is laid. SOLUTION: In this flooring material, a plurality of floor boards 1, which is constituted by applying the tongue-and-groove working to the end surface, are laid in a state in which tongue-and-groove-worked portions of them are tongue-and-groove-connected together. A surface sheet 2, the surface of which is formed with minute irregularities 21, is stuck on the surface of the flooring board 1, and both end sheet portions 22 and 23 of the surface sheet 2 are bent downward to be stuck on vertical surfaces 13 and 14 which are positioned on the upper portion of the tongue-and-groove-worked portion of the floor board 1, respectively. When the floor board 1 is laid, the minute irregularities 21 and 21 on both the end sheet portions 22 and 23 of each of the adjacent flooring boards 1 and 1 abut one another.
