MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF BUFFER MECHANISM FOR SLIDING DOOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly stop a sliding door by surely and gradually reducing the speed of the sliding door, without causing the flip-up motion of the sliding door. SOLUTION: A buffer mechanism body 2 with a buffer portion is incorporated into an upper end of a back end which is positioned on the sliding-direction backside of the sliding door 1; the speed of the sliding movement of the sliding door is reduced by contact with the buffer portion of the buffer mechanism body; and a buffer mechanism retainer 5 for stopping the sliding door is arranged in a head jamb 4 in a position to face the buffer mechanism body.
