PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens holding device to which a lens holder (lens barrel) can be firmly fixed with an adhesive without causing dripping of the adhesive or falling of the lens holder. SOLUTION: The lens holding device has a cylindrical holding member for holding the lens holder inside of it and fixes the external circumference of the lens holder and the internal circumference of the lens holding member together by adhesion, wherein spiral recessed and projection parts are formed on one or both of the adhering faces of the internal and external circumferences of the lens holder and lens holding member, so that dripping of the adhesive is prevented and the lens holder can firmly be adhered to the lens holding device, while the lens holder can be separated from the lens holding device by removing adhesion at the spiral recessed and projection part.
