A hinge assembly for a mobile phone is provided to form a cam profile of the hinge assembly in a fixing cam, thereby enabling rapid opening/closing and making the hinge assembly small. A moving cam(22) is slidably in a housing(21). An elastic member(23) elastically supports the moving cam in the housing. A fixing cam(24) is contacted with the moving cam in which a cam profile is formed. One end of the housing is opened and the other end is closed. The housing is fixed to the second member to rotate with the second member of a mobile communications terminal. A pair of contact units are formed in one side of a ring member in the moving cam. A spring holder is slidably formed in the housing.
